I am trying to upgrade ubuntu 8.1 to 8.04 using the alternate cd download. I am pursuing this method because I am getting ridiculous download times when going through the package manager. I downloaded the alternate cd iso via bit torrent. Mounted it and then ran
gksu "sh /cdrom/cdromupgrade"
I received the following error message:
'Unable to locate any package files, perhaps this is not a Ubuntu Disc or the wrong architecture?'
Any ideas what might cause this problem?
