Hi,
well, for the last few days i am trying to find good desktop search tool. Tried beagle, tracker, gnome do, recoll.
I want to stick with tracker (installed from synaptic Tracker 0.6.93) because it integrates with deskbar applet and searches inside documents, but i just can not set up it right.
After installation i choose to index "/" for whole computer and "/media/data/ for SDHC Card. In tracker.cfg are these places marked but in GUI settings they are gone after each time i go out from preferences window.
And it seems that it is looking for data only in /home/ folder and in /media/data/ (SDHC Card), but not in whole computer.
And there is issue with hidden files-it doesn´t search in hidden files.
So, i uploaded some pictures and would be grateful if someone could help me.

Maybe the problem is also that i installed few times tracker in last days and unistalled it, and maybe there are some residual files left behind... but i do not know where to find them.
