dont you guys find summer boring sometimes? i mean, theirs only so much to do during the summer (unless your one of the lucky ones that get to go on vacation) and eventually, once you run out of interesting things to do with friends (ex: watching movies, going out, etc, etc) and other people, you end up staring at a computer monitor for an entire day. (thats only for me, other people do other things) p.s. what do you do during the summer?

This year, I declined to go on vacation with my family. I dislike the beach. Instead I stayed here so I wouldn't miss LUG and ACM events. I live in Washington, DC, so I think it's a great vacation spot. All the museums are FREE to get in!

And I think you're kinda forgetting people who don't have any difference between summer and the rest of the year. Yeah, I don't have classes in the summer, but that just means I work full time instead of only 20 hours/week.

From your (the OP) first post, I'll guess that you (the OP) are not yet working a full time job... ;)

This summer would have been a lot less boring had I found a job. Bills need to be paid.

Summer does get boring when it is just too hot to even go swimming.

You get sun burnt here in about 30 minutes by the pool and I don't burn easily.

You get in the car and it is like getting in the oven.

You can go to the Las Vegas strip here but the only time it is fun to do that is about 2am when everyone is drunk and falling all over the place. Really fun to watch the drunks think they are impressing a prostitute into going to their room for free. Gotta love Sin City!

There are lots of parks here but it is just too hot for the kids to play without getting burnt on the slides and such.

On a good note you can always take a walk in the casinos where they keep the AC cranking and you can just hang out watching tourists waste their money trying to get rich.

Can still work full time and have a boring summer. Done that many of times.

My summer was soooo busy! I had dance intensives, gymnastics classes, twisted a knee there and had to take some time off but I needed it. I learned to swim finally, discovered Ubuntu from the cutest boy ever, and went on a church retreat. I wasn't bored for a single day!

it rained all of june, most of july, and august was nearly just as bad the last two. its rained so much the lawn is never really dry enough to mow, and the trees are already loosing leaves. I can't stand this summer. my car is a dull gray instead of white because there is nearly no point to wash it.
and then when its not raining it is too humid to do anything. Its like being in molasses. I cant even have the windows open while driving... this summer has been horrible. I'm hoping the winter is mild!

It's not even summer here (although it is starting to heat up). No bordom here! All the uni assignments are just starting to flood in for semester 2.
