I recently upgraded from Hardy to Intrepid and now to Jaunty. During the first upgrade, each user account ran the script for installing the Special Power Off Button - but on one account, the button was not installed. Probably because that account didn't have Admin rights enabled at that time. I'm now running Jaunty and can't find how to re-install the special button for that account.

I am not sure what the "Special Power off button" is, but is it possible to run the script again?

To add an applet to a Panel, right-click on the Panel and select Panel > Add to panel. This will show you the menu of all the applets on your system. Search for "Shut Down". Once added, you can easily shutdown the computer.

Thanks! It is the "Fast User Switch" applet and is available in the applet list as "User Switcher". When it was originally installed, a screen came up that indicated "to install the special power off button..." Problem solved.:)
