I have been using a system running Ubuntu 8.10 with Mythtv as a set top box to record shows and play back music and video. I have been using symlinks to allow mythtv to find files stored on a windows system in another room. This all works fine in 8.10 but when I update to 9.04 or the new 9.10 alpha2 all my links are broken. When I try to make a link to a network location over samba it always says it is broken.

I have searched for months to see if anyone has a fix for this but I have not found anything that works. If anyone knows how to make symlinks to a samba share in 9.04 or know a way to make myth see network locations without using a link, please enlighten me.
