A friend of mine asked me if I could get the Xandros startup sound (he claims that it's so good that he wants to use it on all his Operating Systems). Since I've been away from Xandros for quite a while and I am definitely not installing it just to extract a .wav/.ogg file, I was wondering if any of you could who happen to have a machine dual-booting it would send me/upload the sound file? I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance :).

couldnt the sount be extracted from the install CD...? or perhaps from a LiveCD if that exists.

I have the Xandros installation discs and am still a noob with linux :P so if someone could guide me how to extract the sound files from the CDs, I'll surely do it and upload it to YSI or rapidshare :D

Probably. Thing is, I don't have them.

I would suggest asking in the Xandros forums, they are more likely to have a copy of the sound file on their computers.

I don't believe you'd be able to extract it from the disc. Perhaps you'd be able to search for it on a p2p network?

Already did that :( with no results. I tried Limewire, Emule, Edonkey, Shareaza, Kazaa but with no success. All I could find is the KDE login music

I checked those forums and they are alive and well. I suggest you wait longer or format your question differently.
