installing Ubuntu Studio over openSUSE

I'm a newbie and I'm trying to either install Ubuntu Studio over openSUSE 11 or set up a dual-boot system. The problem I'm having is that openSUSE will not boot from my DVD drive. Any help would be appreciated.

You can dual boot Ubuntu and open Suse with no problems.If you already have Suse installed just shrink partition when you come to that during installation proces of Ubuntu.

Thanks for responding. The problem I'm having is that I cannot get openSUSE to boot from the Ubuntu DVD in my DVD drive. I have a CD-ROM and a separate (internal) DVD-ROM. Can't figure out how to set BIOS to boot from the DVD

Are you telling me that you have one multidistro DVD?I don´t know how to do it if that is your situation.Maybe you should burn Suse on other CD/DVD and then try to boot it.Set BIOS to boot from CD.
