i installed a program that required a lot of dependencies and took a lot hard drive space. i cannot remember what all was installed, is there a way to list recently installed packages by date or time?

Easy way to see what takes up space. Applications > Accessories > Disk space usage analyzer. That'd probably be best way to narrow down what took so much space.

If ya used a terminal, easy way to look back over commands issued is to search up your history. In a terminal type history to see all issued commands. Ya can pipe it to a text file for easy searching and manipulating later with:

history > history.txt

Hope that helps.
