so i searched for a similar thread quickly but decided i should just post my own.
i was going to buy an intel core i7 setup, but decided i should check here for any known issues with ubuntu on a core i7. so basically, are there any known issues/recommendations/points of interest that i should know about before dumping $1000 into a new computer? or should i just buy one and see for myself?

i7 is basically the same x86/x86_64 instruction set we been operating on forever. To my knowledge there isn't any trouble, system76 just released the leopard system which is only customizable with i7. So be at ease, we have absolutely no trouble running on standard cpus. Wirless, now theres a barrel of trouble, long as your using lan, won't be a problem.
