hey guys,

i have a compaq presario r4000 laptop and i want to install ubuntu, but here's the thing:
- no cd/dvd drive
- no usb boot option in bios
- the current operating system is completely screwed up, (ive tried everything)

my only options for install:
- floppy diskette drive
- new internal cd/dvd drive, expensive, and rare (custom made by compaq)
- network install

the best option is network install because all of the materials are readily available

please show me how

Network install here. (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation#Server%20and%20network%20installation s)

See first option, localenet. That should do it, I've never really done a net install, but if ya run into trouble post and I'll do my best to help based off the guide. Shouldn't be too hard. See other options if they apply.
