Terraform (http://terraform.sourceforge.net/index.html) allows you to generate random terrain using a number of algorithms and then selectiveley change the terrain using a variety of transformations. Where possible, the transformations provide a real-time preview, giving you instant feedback.

Voxel World (http://dmytry.pandromeda.com/voxelworld/) is a photo-realistic terrain and volumetric renderer developed by Dmytry Lavrov.
Renderer have volumetric clouds/fog,volumetric lighting, procedural terrain texturing,built-in terrain generator, superscalability, and other features.

Underworld Adventures (http://sourceforge.net/projects/uwadv/) is a project to recreate Ultima Underworld 1 on modern operating systems using the original game files. It uses OpenGL for 3D graphics, the SDL library for platform specific tasks and Lua for scripting.

streamtuner (http://www.nongnu.org/streamtuner/) is a stream directory browser. Through the use of a plugin system, it offers an intuitive GTK+ 2.0 interface to Internet radio directories such as SHOUTcast and Live365.

F4L (http://sourceforge.net/projects/f4l/) is an open source development environment for Macromedia Flash, a multi-platform format(swf/svg) widely used for web applications and vector animation. Basically, you can make interactive eye candy for your web site or any other purpose while maintai

Downloader For X (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Downloader_for_X) (or simply D4X) is a download manager/accelerator for Unix-like systems. It is open source software released under the Artistic licence. It can pause and restart downloads at any time, and utilises both the HTTP and FTP protocols. It can limit download speeds to free bandwidth for other uses.

Parcellite (http://sourceforge.net/projects/parcellite/) is a lightweight GTK+ clipboard manager. This is a stripped down, basic-features-only clipboard manager with a small memory footprint for those who like simplicity.

Glipper (http://sourceforge.net/projects/glipper/) is a clipboardmanager for the GNOME Panel. It maintains a history of text copied to the clipboard from which you can choose. You can see this as a GNOME counterpart to KDE's Klipper. Glipper uses plugins to give the user all the extra functional

OvBB (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ovbb/), Written in PHP and powered by MySQL, is a light-weight and fast discussion board system that mimics vBulletin 2 in both look and behavior while incorporating new features and functionality.

kxmame (http://sourceforge.net/projects/kxmame/) A KDE frontend for xmame/xmess. Based on gxmame with many UI improvements and fixes and added support for xmess.

Mupen64Plus GTK GUI Front-end (http://www.emutalk.net/showpost.php?p=428743&postcount=1)
The biggest architectural change for the new Mupen64Plus 2.0 is separating the user interface from the core emulator functions. This means that developers can create Front-End applications using any GUI technology to drive the Mupen64Plus emulator. Currently we have a Qt GUI in the works, but the original GTK GUI will fall by the wayside if no-one picks it up and ports it to the new architecture. The 2.0 API is fully documented at: http://mupen64plus.emuwiki.com (http://www.emuwiki.com/index.php?title=Mupen64Plus_v2.0_Core_API_v1.0).

if you nou of any good orphan program post it and i will add it to the list

D4x. A good download manager. I'd link to the website, however the site and developer seem to have just fallen off the face of the earth.

Parcellite (http://parcellite.sourceforge.net/) (or it soon will be orphaned). Glipper (http://glipper.sourceforge.net/) seems to have not had any development either in recent years.

We need a good linux program to play bridge. There was one called abridge but it needs work.

xmms needs work -- it's true that xmms2 and audacious are working, but I'm not sure that either one has xmms functionality (.shn etc.)

abridge i dont nou if it is a orphan program or not i canīt find a website for it

xmms was Discontinued because the difficulties of maintaining the code base so they decide to start over with XMMS2 It is a new design, written from scratch
so xmms is not relely a orphan program it was continue with XMMS2
