Are there any good xml parsers other than xerces to use in a java app?

xerces doesn't (afaik) support relax-ng, which isn't a huge problem, but I think docbook uses a relax-ng schema that would be nice to use...

Also, why on EARTH does salan only support xslt 1.0...I've started using saxon, which I think works really well...

also, any other useful java/xml tools would be appreciated...the ones I use most are xerces and dom4j.

thanks!

This is a good list of XML parsers for Java (http://java-source.net/open-source/xml-parsers). I've never needed to work with docbook in Java, but I've used JDOM and Xerces.
