i have searched and searched and have not been able to find a viable solution to my problem. i have a 7th generation 120 gig ipod classic. i have had a bunch of problems with trying to sync it with a slew of different media players (rhythmbox, banshee, songbird [it doesn't even show up in songbird]). i have also tried hipo, but it is quite a task to try to rename files, add album artwork, etc.
it has been recommended to me to try a new OS for my ipod, but the recommendation is always rockbox, which (according to their website) doesn't work with classics.
i have had to use an old portable cd player for a while now, and it is costing me an arm and a leg in batteries and i miss having all my music right there.
any help would be appreciated.
