Is it possibe to put any verison of Ubuntu on Xbox or Xbox 360? And after its on there, if it can be, is it possible to still play games?

This is one of those "your mileage may vary" situations. Short answer: old & unpatched xbox's can probably run Linux, but without hardware mods will lose xbox live capabilities. See e.g. http://www.xbox-linux.org/wiki/Getting_Started
