Mac Finderbar on Linux Ubuntu 9.04

Well I've always likes the Finderbar on a Mac, and on windows there's a program called finderbar (http://landvermesser.tripod.com/) to get the mac finderbar on windows.

Now you guys probably already know my question, can you get the finderbar for linux ubuntu, and if so how can I get it???

Try Gnome-Do.

Run:


sudo apt-get install gnome-do

There are even plugins you can enable.

Play around with it and see what you think.

A other approach is to install Avant-window-manager.

Use synaptic to search for and install the awn-managerpackage.

Once installed, you can start it by going to Applications > Accessories menu

"globalmenu" is what you're looking for.
I don't see how Gnome-Do or Avant are related to this

Avant is the dock, not the finderbar (I already have it anyway), and I don't know what gnome-do is, but when I googled it I got something to search files, or something like that which isn't what I was looking for either.

As for globalmenu that was exactly what I was looking for, thanks again. :)
