View Full Version : [ubuntu] esys doesn't recognise USB at all

Sorry, I'm a right ignoramus, but I have a cheapo "esys" desktop I got from Morgan Computers in Manchester. Out of the box it had an ancient version of Ubuntu which couldn't handle my monitor, so I loaded Jaunty which does great with it. However I can't see any of the 6 USB ports on the machine (lscpi shows none). I'm wondering if the machine is so old that it's USB 1.0 or something.

Anyway, can anyone give me a hint as to some kind of diagnostics I could run which would point me in the right direction?

Cheers
Jaffa
