How to change menu fonts for KDE apps on Ubuntu/Gnome?

* Can't find kcontrol, looks like it missed in current Ubuntu 9.04
* qtconfig has the only setting for font, which = 8, and which I can't change (not saved)
* systemsettings has no option for fonts - I see only few icons there.

Is there a way to change fonts for applications like kcachegrind? I can't read this ugly big letters anymore :(
