I'm running a stock Ubuntu installation (so X + metacity + gnome), and i want to launch a gui app from the terminal (say, #> blackjack &) but I *don't* want to the launched GUI app to get focus away from my terminal window. Any idea how to do this? Do i need to write some sort of special wrapper for metacity or something? I've never done WM scripting before.
