if by that you mean a *nix clan, you can do that anytime you wanted by tagging your nick/username

"drop" the console while in game by doing ctrl+alt+~ , type /com_allowconsole 1 (so you only have to hit the tilde key to drop console from now on), then type /clan <insert clan tag here>

obviously, don't use the quotes.

Yes I dropped in. Kept getting distracted by people at home so I was only there a short while.

And directed at the individual asking about a Linux clan...

I have been going around with the tag "tux" someone had that idea on the Quake Live forums.

I'd be interested on getting us on a forum for setting up game nights and tips and tricks and maybe a clan voice server (mumble).
