I'm using Apple's the small aluminium keyboard (Apple calls this model "Apple Keyboard" in their store (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB869LL/A?fnode=MTY1NDA1Mg&mco=NDE4NjI4Mg); it's the one without the numeric keypad) on Jaunty, and I'd like to get <fn><backspace> to act as a 'delete' button. Would be nice if this would work in all (Gnome) apps, but I'd be content if it were to work in ViM in gnome-terminal.

http://a248.e.akamai.net/7/248/2041/1579/as-images.apple.com/is/image/AppleInc/MB869?wid=185&hei=185&fmt=jpeg&qlt=95&op_sharpen=0&resMode=bicub&op_usm=0.5,0.5,0,0&iccEmbed=0&layer=comp

I get the impression that the <fn> key isn't recognised at all at the moment, so I'm wondering if what I want is possible at all.

Would be nice if I can get this to work, cuz I don't wanna go back to using the shite Dell keyboard...
