Yesterday Sony cut prices of it's consoles by $100 with the introduction of PS3 Slim so i was looking into getting a new PS3

I went to bestbuy (these are Canadian Prices) and saw that

PS3 Slim 120G = $299
PS3 160G = $399
PS3 80G = $299

so is the 80G gonna get another price cut? Cuz why would ANYONE buy the 80G when they can get Slim with bigger hard drive for same price?

hm.... I don't know but a PS3 80GB for $199 caught my attention and I normally don't like console games in comparison to their PC counterparts. I hope Sony does lower the price again for the 80GB.

See side by side comparisons. I despise how many hardware revisions ps3 and 360 gone through.

ok from that site

the 80G has the Flash Card Reader, comes with a Ethernet and can run other OS

although it would be fun to run Linux on the ps3 is it enough to pay the equal money as the Slim?

dont think i have ever used a flash card reader? most routers these days come with wireless so eithernet doesnt seem needed either and run other os seems very pointless.

im glad they cut those things out.
