toolbar problems

on my open windows toolbars, i lost, minimize, close, buttons. how do i get them back

never mind, i found it... compiz took over windows management..

What did you do to repair it? Simply saying that compiz took it over isn't enough; did you make it so that compiz continued to be the Window Manager? Or did you go back to Metacity?
