I am running AMD phenom II 545 and so I download Ubuntu 9.0.4 for amd 64 . However, every time there are 2 errors when I burn it to a CD using the check disk defect . When I install it using wubi, when it boots to load ubuntu, it stops at 95% of completion at the language packs.

I have tried to download it from different FTP site and also using BT torrents. But the result is identical. What's wrong ?

Did you checked md5sum (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM)? If it is not correct you will not install. You can download same iso with torrent and point download to the folder where your existing iso is.Torrent will just check iso for bad files and replace them with good ones. After that run md5sum again and if it is O.K. burn at lower possible speed.Check disc integrity and i its good you are ready for install.

do as zvacet says. When you burn a new CD if your software won't let you choose burn speed look here (https://help.ubuntu.com/9.04/switching/installing-burning.html)
Slow speed is better, faster speeds work great on data CD/DVDs, but on burning an image slow speeds are best- they seem to produce very few errors.
