Hello all,
i am new to ubuntu and linux as well.
my problem is that i update my ubuntu 9.04 by update manager,i download each thing i see in update window.
all was well but at the end of installation "gstreamer0.10-plugins-base" is displayed as a broken package
i tried many times to update it but the result was same.
also i m not seeing any change at boot time ,i am booting with same kernel which was present before update.
and please tell me how to have root privilege to my account as i m not able to manually install packages
please help me!!!
