Hey,
I recently converted my hp dv9500 laptop into a wall mounted pc. The screen sits in a picture frame and hangs on the wall, etc.
I'm looking for recommendations for software to use on it. Note that this is not an "interactive" computer (I wont have a keyboard/mouse hooked up to it) so I'm looking for desktop apps that can display stuff... cool stuff...
Heres what Im thinking so far:
- Desktop widgets to display weather, stocks, news, photos, etc.
- Voice control using the microphone?
- Proximity based actions (e.g. the webcam senses movement and brightens the screen, etc)
- Nice alarm clock, that can be set by accessing a webpage from another pc in the house (or voice control)
Can you guys recommend some ideas for the above? Do you have other ideas for possible functions?
