Is Envy NG dead and no longer maintained ?

I installed Envy-NG on my Ubuntu 8.04 "hardy" system a long time ago. The NVIDIA driver works fine so far, but I notice that I had not any driver updates for months. My driver version is 173.14.12 but NVIDIA is already offering an 185.18.31 driver.
Anybody knows if Envy is dead ?

Alberto Milone,the developer says:

UPDATE: it will never be updated because of my lack of time.

I also use 173,,,,tested the newer ones (install with restricted-drivers),
but: On my machine,9800 GTX,they are slower!! (Using 8.10)
