I am currently learning C++, and some API's like wxWidgets and OpenGL, and didn't know if there were any existing projects I could contribute towards, or if anybody had an idea for something I could start. My original idea was to make an audio converter like pacpl, only use the actual API, not outsource to another program. This would likely make it faster, but I ran into problems trying to understand all of what goes into decoding/encoding ogg/mp3/whichever. If anybody has some ideas of what I can work on to help build a foundation in C++, that would be awesome. If not, I can still work on the C++ audio converter.

jimi_hendrix of these forums and I are dealing with a little arcade game in C++ using SDL... and we do need some help. Maybe it's not exactly what you want, but who knows :) Look at: https://launchpad.net/deadends

I think it would be a good idea to get involved with. Although by indefinitely, the levels would in fact be limited to 9223372036854775807 (max value of long long). Anyway, I would like to at least try and figure out what's going on, worst case I can do some audio design. Would this be kind of like the boxhead game?
