hi, ive been using ubuntu for less than a year so im still pretty new to it. I realised there is a new distribution release for 9.04 in the update manager. im using 8.10 and i was just wondering if i should upgrade or not. Im just curious as to what the advantages/disadvantages are of updating now. Id really like to know if its easy to do, and to make sure im not going to lose any of my files or something.
Also, is this release relatively new? and would it be better to wait for a while before upgrading? like i said im still just a beginner!

thanks in advance!

Download, burn and try a liveCD of Jaunty. See how it plays with your system specs' and hardware. Also, Read the release notes (http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/releasenotes/904).

Have fun and happy ubuntu-ing.
