cairo-dock error

i cant install cairo-dock from repos nor add/remove...i keep getting this....

E: linux-image-2.6.30.4-candela: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 2

whatever this kernel candela is it is giving my multiple headaches...is there a way to roll back to a different kernel...i still have the other kernels from before update but i dont know how to use them...would it be thru system>start up manager?

I'm new, but i think i can help.

To use previous kernels, install from synaptic the program grubed, this will allow you to change what appears and what doesn't appear during the boot in the GRUB options.

You may want to choose: show multiple kernels, so when booting you may choose to boot from previous kernels.
