I went to Applications > add/remove , then installed "device manager" .. it's seems pretty basic, is there a different device manager that I'm supposed to be using? Also, it seems odd that there's not a built in GUI device manager by default.. Maybe I'm just just accessing it the wrong way.

thanks!

Some threads mention one under the System or Administration menus but I didn't see anything, until I installed device manager of course.

what do you want to do with it? Say what you need, and you'll sure getting solutions.

Im trying to get my Microsoft VX-500 webcam to work with Ubuntu 9.04 64-bit...

Microsoft Windows 7 LifeCam beta software wouldn't recognize it , lol.

this is in 804, may be in 904, but in Preferences there is "Removable drives and media"
