Hi,
Why is there a cross sign in Networkmanager.
I have no problem with browsing.

It looks like you are not connected via wired LAN because that is the icon for wired LAN. So you are probably connected via wireless. The wireless icon is more of a "signal bar" icon.

No it's not wireless connection.
But there is no item in "Wired" tab in Networkmanager".
Internet connection is established with pppoeconf.

That's odd. Has it been that way ever since? I guess if you have no problems, then let it be. :D

Same thing here.I remember when I upgraded from Gutsy to Intrepid during upgrade was question about network.Do you want new or one you already have(something like that)?I choose one I have and since then it is cross on network manager icon, but connection works. So I never really try to sort it.
