Slashdotters are taking Ubuntu pretty positively.. sort of unusual, to me.

Slashdotters are taking Ubuntu pretty positively.. sort of unusual, to me.

Not all of them are. I'm the poofyhairguy82 on there. Look at my post:

"Well, I am using Hoary right now and it is really good so far. Its a little buggy (I don't recomend it for most people) but is has lots of software (more than Sarge, a little less than Sid) and the new Gnome looks great.

Anyone that likes Gnome should try out the Preview Release of Hoary coming out in March. All the extra bug reports could make it one of the best distros ever.

It will be a good finished project."

and someone replyed:

"
Debian Distro Stats on sarge... 15400 packages, 1386 maintainers, 28553 MB installed size, 9132 MB compressed size.

Debian Distro Stats on sid... 16447 packages, 1429 maintainers, 32302 MB installed size, 10338 MB compressed size.

from http://www.ubuntulinux.org/ubuntu/applications/doc ument_view: "fully supported software list of 1,300 packages."

Yup, just another /.er with no clue what he's talking about... "

If only that guy knew I was a "Ubuntu Inspiring Expert." LOL.

If only he weren't an a**hole. Come on, you said you were running a preview release.
