I was using this 320gb seagate hard drive in a computer. I had to disassemble the system and return the case/motherboard because of some other issues. I let the hard drive sit in the static resistant bag it came in on a shelf for a week and a half. Today I put the drive back in my machine. The bios got stuck 'searching for IDE...' and eventually gave up. I booted using a 9.04 live cd and three error messages came up .Each line ended with 'ata3'. Then it went to the ubuntu desktop and everything worked except for the hard drive. Is the drive dead? Is it a mobo problem?

Edit: SOLVED. It just started working?!?!
