Hi, is it possible to label partitions with gparted and not lose any data?

Thanks!

To label partitions, have a look here - community/RenameUSBDrive

Partitions must be unmounted in order to change their labels. That link will work for devices that aren't USB drives as well. If all you want to do is change the mount point, have a look here - community/MoveMountpointHowto

Thanks for the links. The one thing I can't find confirmation of is whether or not I'll lose data by labeling the drives. I know how to do it, I just don't want to trash my systems.

No, changing drive labels won't cause data loss :)

Beautiful! Thank you. I've been getting tired of trying to remember which partition has what on it. I'm running several distros and want to label the partitions.

Do back-up ... just in case a mistake is made ;)

Thanks, I always do! :) I'll try it on a partition I don't care much about first.
