View Full Version : [kubuntu] Problems with bluetooth under kubuntu

August 16th, 2009, 05:34 PM
Hi all!

I have problems using bluetooth under my kubuntu 9.04 desktop since the beginning. I am unable to connect my nokia e51 using the bluetooth connection wizard because it does not see it when scanning. I have my phone in discoverable mode. When I've scanned for devices in terminal using "hcitool scan" and it has shown my nokia device. But nothing more. I'd like to be able to transfer files to and from my phone, and also use it as a modem device, because I don't have access to any other type of internet connection.

I'd be very grateful for any help given. I've searched forums but didn't find anything of interest.

PS. Also, almost every time I turn bluetooth and wifi off using my laptop switch, the bluetooth application crashes. Don't know why, but it is a very minor problem to me.

Thanks again for any help given,
