Greetings,
I an a new Linux user and I would like to know how I can Install Ubuntu next to the xp VM I have Installed n Windows 7 Ultimate X 64. I did not know if there was a VM version of linux to download and install right next to windows xp. I apologize if it sounds a little stupid but I wanted to have linux running in the vm just like xp and able to run linux apps in the windows 7 desktop.

Just download any linux CD you care to try, create a partition for it on your hard drive. And then install as you would any other linux OS. Boot the cd, start the live (if it is live) session and click install.
