Hi all,
With my fresh installation of jaunty Kubuntu, GUI does not start.
When I log in to console, I can run startx, which results in X server started, I can see KDE being started, (first hard-drive icon appears in the splash screen) but after approx. 1 minute, mesage displays: "Kdeinit4 could not be started. check you intallation". (please see .xsession errors attached for details)
I have no idea what to check really. I tried to run "Kdeinit4 --help" with the following
result:
x@nb:~$ kdeinit4 --help
Bus error
I am currently running gnome, and if I try to start KDE session within GDM, result is the same as running startx from console.
Any idea what should I check next ?
