No boot after Ubuntu Netbook remix install

Guys I need heeelp. I installed ubuntu netbook remix on an acer aspire one netbook. The installation went well. After that I simply switched off the netbook. Today I switched it on again, but it could not boot. Only black screen and the sound of the processor's fan trying to do its best! Earlier this netbook had a windows xp installation and earlier than that, a linpus. Please help. It's not mine and i have to fix it.

I found the solution. I had to run a bios recovery!! I was in panic that's why posted before really searching.
