Dear forum people,

Using CD-Live Ubuntu 9.04 it boots well on a Lenovo laptop and connects via wireless to the web. This one has Intel pro wireless chip.

However, on an HP laptop that has the wireless chipset Broadcom Corporation BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g] 802.11g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 02), I can not connect as such.

I am planning on installing this Ubuntu version on the HP laptop, but am live-testing for compatibility, before installation. What to do to get wireless working?

Thanks for any help afforded.

Broadcom doesn't seem to work out of the box with Network manager at this moment

Thanks arky,

So, if I do permanent install, what is the best way so far to make wireless work with the Broadcom as said?

Thanks!
