just like any fiction book, it's not a real place

Eden is simply Paradise

If by Eden you mean the place of origin for Homo Sapiens, this is generally agreed to be somewhere in northern Africa.

Present a falsifiable hypothesis, and many will be happy to do so. Until then, the burden of proof rests with you. Anyways, the Judaeo-Christian tradition is split on the question of whether the Garden was a historical or allegorical location, or some mixture of the two. Those who posit the former generally locate the Garden at the headwaters of the Tigris and Euphrates.

where was the garden of Eden located?

In a gadda da vida, honey
Don't you know that I'm lovin' you
In a gadda da vida, baby
Don't you know that I'll always be true

Oh, won't you come with me
And take my hand
Oh, won't you come with me
And walk this land
Please take my hand...

This is a logical fallacy, which will eventually fall to circular logic. It's your job to prove your claim, and not his to disprove it until your present evidence of your original implication.

In any case, this isn't allowed to be discussed here, so I'm going to guess this thread will be closed anytime now.

Ok, let's take this thread in a different sort of "ancient history" direction...

Who made the first 3 1/2" floppy disk drive? And if you're feeling extra clever, what was it's capacity and what computer could it be found in, commercially?

By the rivers of Babylon...

By the rivers of Babylon
Where he sat down
And there he wept when he remembered Zion.

Oh from wicked, carry us away from captivity
Required from us a song
How can we singing out for song in a strange land.

So let the words of our mouth
And the meditations of our hearts
Be acceptable in thy sight
O-verride

By the rivers of Babylon
Where he sat down
And there he wept when he remembered Zion.

Oh from wicked, carry us away from captivity
Required from us a song
How can we singing out for song in a strange land.

The first one I remember seeing was in an early Mac but I'm feeling too lazy to look up the details at the moment.

it was made by a man called brian, who lived in swindon :P

floppies were originally introduced by ibm in 1971? and were 8 inches (when men were real men) >100kb, ibm 370/360 .

5.25inch discs introduced 1976 with 90kb memory, dont know where it came from think it first went in word processor i think

the 3.5 inch floppy was introduced by sony in 1981/2?, single sided single density so 350/360kb, i think your right about apple, it was on the new fangled macintosh i think

my store of useless info finally comes in handy

You could get a 3.5 inch drive for the Apple IIGS, if I remember correctly. It did, but it succeeded the original Mac, as I now recall.

The first one I saw was in a mac, it was just the big flat ones up until then.

But I found Eden, and this not just a myth, it is a greenhouse/shop/restaurant, just look (http://sattlers.org/mickey/travel/2005/ibiza-iceland/iceland/10/08f-eden-hveragerthi.html).
This is the only Eden that can be said to have ever existed that didn't stink of evil... I mean, what is better than being able to buy icecream and wool sweater at the same place!

Eden was a mythological place (like most of the early books of the Bible). The author got his inspiration from the Mesopotamia though, a very fertile land surrounded by deserts, thus a "paradise".

According to Google maps, there are a lot of gardens of Eden between San Francisco and Hayward.

I read somewhere about claims of the discover of the "garden of eden", at Turkey, let me google it....

Digging for history at Gobekli Tepe, Turkey (http://www.thefirstpost.co.uk/1410,features,history-in-turkey-gobekli-tepe-garden-eden-klaus-schmidt)

The astonishing discoveries at the world’s oldest temple may tell us more about the Garden of Eden

And, of course the wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G%C3%B6bekli_Tepe)
