Just installed Ubuntu 9.04 Desktop at a remote location.
Came back to my desk.
Logged in remotely to this new system with ssh.
From the command line I tried:
sudo shutdown -r now
( and a few minutes later )
sudo reboot
It gives the braodcast messages:
Broadcast message from ....
(/dev/pts/3) at 17:19 ...
The system is going down for reboot NOW!
But it does not really do anything!
It does not reboot.
It does not log me out.
Nothing !
I simply get the command prompt back.
The system is still up and running.
What is going on?
