Ubuntu wont boot unless i have ACPI=OFF. When this is enable i dont have a battery monitor and no warnings when my battery is low. Is there a program that i can get to monitor my batter or is there a way to fix it so my computer will run with ACPI on:confused:

Thank you

no, you can't get the status of an ACPI battery if you disable acpi.. Actually, I find running a laptop withou acpi is quite useless, I wouldn't run a laptop without acpi.

sorry

Which laptop are you using? Which version of ubuntu?

Have you searched for your laptop model in the forums? Maybe you can solve your specific problems.
