flash doesn't work

I just installed 9.04 on a laptop - including the adope flash-plugin for ubuntu
However, flash videos do not start:

What could be the problem ?

first your version of Ubuntu and whether 32 bit or 64 bit is needed. Also did you try installing more than one version of Flash without removing the previous version. If you have gnash or swfdec remove them.

OK, your answer showed me the way.
I uninstalled everything flash-plugin and reinstalled the Adobe flashplugin - and it is working now.
