Hi All

I am thinking about installing Ubuntu onto my Sony Vaio P, and I am hoping to install all system files onto the SD Card (4GB) and then just use the HDD for media files, documents etc..

Does anyone know how I do this and also will 4GB be enough room for just the 'system' files?

So in affect I will boot from the SD card and use the HDD just for personal files.

Many thanks

Garry

i would not recommend installing to an SD card even if its possible...should you lose that card.....it would be a sticky situation.

The Vaio P doesn't boot off the internal SD-card.

But using the alternate install CD you could put /boot /home on your HDD and the rest on your SD-card. (provided the kernel supports the card reader)

I wouldn't recommend it either though.
