I recently went to gnome-look.org, and I saw that some of the folk there managed to make their GNOME desktop look like Vista, without the second bar!

I want to know how to do that as well, because it would really help my family here get used to Ubuntu. So the question is, how do I make my GNOME desktop look like Windows 7?

A full tutorial would be well appreciated

If you really want it to look like Windows, its probably better to use KDE 4.3. Its still the power of Linux. :)

Download Live CD here so you can boot it up and try without installing on your system: http://home.kde.org/~binner/kde-four-live/

Otherwise yes, you can just install themes to change the look of Gnome to make it look nice. Installation instructions are usually included on gnome-look so Im not sure what you are asking?

I might not have made myself clear.

OK, I know how to install themes, and I think I'll stick with gnome.

What I really want to know is how to install a GNOmenu theme. I have no idea about that one.
