Hmmm...

Just got an email from a place called Alliance Asset Management Systems, telling me they have "received your resume"! WTF? I've never heard of these people. Furthermore, they're using a well-known online job advertisement site (mycareer.com.au) to make themselves look legit.

Some Google-Fu reveals there are a lot of complaints about them, regarding bogus debt-chasing, fraud, etc. Seek.com.au has confirmed they are frauds: http://www.seek.com.au/general_id_items/content/safejobsearching.ascx

Anyway, if you receive a letter like the one attached, ignore it and don't reply.

Anyone else receive bogus job offers and scam emails like this? Perhaps we should make a compendium of scam emails and job ads.

Thanks for posting that doc. I am going to send my social security card number to them. They will be impressed by my openness in sharing crucial personal identification information and surely hire me.

lol, "the Australia", then the whole using U.S. currency values as the descriptor for the pay one would receive in "the Australia". Looks like a 411 variant to me. Only perhaps this one is after the victim's identity.
