So, the new kernal (2.6.28-14) failed, and I am using the old kernal I got with 8.10 - all seems to be well.

I ran the safe graphics mode with the new kernal, and it flagged at:

35.973813 <c0105477

I don't know if those numbers mean anything that can help. Should I be trying to repair the new kernal, reinstall, whatever; or just delete it and be happy with the old, and move on with my life and stop trying to be a power user?

It seems like maybe the new kernal is for 64 bit, and won't work on my 32???
