Installing from USB stick

So I just got an Eee PC netbook from Asus and I want to install Ubuntu by copying it from my main windows box to a USB to the new laptop.

I downloaded ubuntu...what now? The interwebs has yielded little help....

I've been playing with that and I tried installing Easy Peasy.........

It starts to work but then when it's time for the splash screen nothing comes up except an error
