I understand that, if you want to stay on the cutting edge of software updates in Linux, you have to go a tad bit out of your way.
My question is, if I just wait around, will the Update Manager EVENTUALLY issue Firefox 3.5 and Openoffice 3.1.0? Or do I necessarily have to go out of my way to update applications to newer versions than those contained on the Ubuntu 9.04 ISO?
