[RANT]

Am I doing something wrong ?

What am I referring to ?

Music players playlists. What the hell have they ALL done to them ?

I'm not interested in Last FM or god knows what.. I want to make my own playlists.

So.. select "New playlist".. Go import file and select song.

Where did that go ? certainly not into the new playlist screen. (doesn't matter whether your using Amarok, RhythmBox or.. just tried Banshee)

So lets go looking around (WHY ?)

Oooh look.. Found it in Recently added ? Along with a shedload of other stuff I don't want to listen to. So delete all that other stuff...

Ok.. we can work with this if that's the cretinous way I'm expected to use it...

Add more files..select play while we're still looking...

First track ends and..... 4th song starts playing ?

WTF ?

Go back to window and find they have been ordered differently to what I loaded them.

Can't drag them into the order I want them played.. Try everything that I can figure out.

Get fed up and run out of patience

Post Rant.

Anyone else suffered this ?

Am I getting old ?

What's the answer ?

1. Open Songbird.
2. Shift + click or Ctrl + click the songs you desire.
3. Right click, "Add to Playlist > New Playlist", name playlist.
4. ????
5. PROFIT

It would appear that your right... In a sense.

I found 5 of my songs in a messed up order in "recently added" and had to drag them to New Playlist.

why they have added this extra step defies comprehension.

I just tried to load a few more songs but they haven't appeared in "Recently added" so I have no idea where they are !!

What on earth was wrong with the old , logical way of doing things ?
